Getting Ready for Christmas

Well it's been a busy few weeks getting ready for Christmas. The house is decorated, the tree is done, baking is completed, and the gift wrapping is.......well started anyway! It helped that I had a cookie exchange with my old baby group last weekend, so that forced me to kick it in to high gear. And the best part is that I have a freezer FULL of cookies! We're really looking forward to heading over to NS for Christmas this year. Mom has just had her knee surgery and we can't wait to see her and help mend her back to health. I can only imagine the havoc Reese will wreak on their house, but I have a feeling Nana and Grandad are actually looking forward to it. We've been trying to help Reese understand as best she can, the whole Christmas thing.......keeping in mind at all times that she's just 17 months old. She says Santa on cue and can also recite "ho, ho, ho!" But that's about the extent of it. I had huge concerns about the Christmas tree, but she appears to have very little interest in it. Gifts will be fun for her to open this year and I'm sure she'll be excited about some new toys, but I think next year will be the big one for her. We had adorable Christmas photos taken of her, but of course I have no way to upload them, so these random shots will have to do for now:0)

Just lookin' plain old cute!

Reading her morning paper.

Sitting on her Dora car on the phone, her very favorite thing these days!

Ready for bed in her Christmas jammies.
