Hunter and Reese

Mark, Reese, Lola and I are nicely adjusting to our new family of 5. Hunter seems to be a fairly laid-back little fella which was a huge help this past week as Reese had yet another bout of the stomach flu......ARGH! Poor little thing, she was a good 5 days with it this time:( Anyway, she's on the up and up now and we certainly wouldn't have survived the week without the help of Nana D. She was super at diaper changing and burping and I think she and Hunter had a really good chance to bond:) So now Reese is back at the sitter and Hunter and I are on our own.......and so far so good!

Here are few pictures from the weekend:

Mark and Reese did a fun-run in K-Park......you probably can't see, but miss Reese slept through the whole thing.

And here's a newer picture of little Hunter. I'm pleased to report he's eating well and gaining weight, he's up to 8 lbs 7 oz already!

The Wait is Over:-))

Hunter Murray Anderson arrived safely on Friday, May 16th 2008 at 8:04am weighing 8lbs even. He made a surprisingly speedy entrance to this world with Mom only labouring for a little over 6 hours. Mom had to go "drug-free" this time as a result. As rough as it was, the recovery has been so much smoother this time. We're all home now and feeling great......tired, but great. So far, Hunter seems to be a pretty easy-going little guy which is a welcomed relief after our "high maintenance" little girl. Speaking of which, Reese has responded fantastically to her new little brother. She's so taken with him and just wants to kiss and hug him all the time! She has a way to go in terms of "gentleness" but we'll get there. Anyway, here are a few early snapshots and rest assured, there'll be more to come.

Hunter, shortly after arriving.....bumped and bruised, but no worse for the wear:)

Mama loving the new man in her life.

Reese's first kiss for her baby brother. Awwwwwww:)

Proud Daddy, an old pro at all of this.

All set for the drive home.

Notice the cars on the sleeper......he is an Anderson afterall!

Still Waiting....

Well as the waiting game continues, I've had lots of time to be more efficient at updating my blog! We headed to the cottage last weekend and Reese got to try out her new "big girl bed" and I'm happy to report she did great! She went to bed with no fuss, didn't get out of the bed all night and, in fact, we felt the need to wake her at 8am to ensure she was still breathing! And she was:)

Our first sunset of the year at Meenan's Cove....gotta love it.

I'm not sure this picture does this sweater justice, but it's yet another Nana Murray creation. Gorgeous! The detail is amazing, so much so, I've heard this will be the one and only. We love, love, love it!

Busy doesn't begin to describe Reese these days. She's into absolutely everything, and has so much fun doing it! Here she is testing out Lola's crate with Dad. She's SUCH a ham, this is the smile we get when we tell her to say "Cheese." LOVES the camera:)

Reese is very hesitant to have anything on her head or face. She finally started wearing winter hats in March and now it's been impossible to get her to wear sunhats or sunglasses. Then lo and behold, Nana and Papa bought her a pair of Strawberry Shortcake sunglasses that she has been quite taken with! There's hope yet!

The Incredible Growing Belly

After a slow start to the pregnancy weight gain, I've pulled ahead in my final trimester and have officially gained just as much weight as I did with my first pregnancy. With just over 2 weeks to go, there's not much action to speak of. The head's down and I'm dilated 1 cm. Yup, that's it. I have another appt on Wednesday, so keep your fingers crossed! Last time I went into labour after a pedicure and some deep massaging of the pressure points in my feet. I had one today and no such luck. Anyway, here's a picture of the beloved "bump:"
